Background Information:
In 1986 Lee Shulman created a framework called PCK, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge. In 2000 Technology Knowledge was added to the framework as a component teachers should posses. It wasn't until 2008 that Mishra and Koehler provided the theory behind all three domains.

My understanding is that TPACK requires teachers to consider the best ICT and digital tools that will best combine with the pedagogy and content. Also my understanding of TPACK (which is limited) is that it is a pretty basic concept. As aspiring teachers we are aware that the content knowledge taught to students needs pedagogical practices and scaffolding so students can learn (for a better word). And as this is the 21st Century, we are well aware of the importance of Technology and the impact it is and will continue to have on our students' lives. So using these three domains and linking them together in our learning experiences is sort of a 101 of teaching. Plus students are engaged in things that are real-world or of interest to them. Of course technology (ICT) is going to be of interest to them.
Anyway back to TPACK - Master the content, Master the classroom strategies and Master technology.
I'd be interested to know if anyone else shares my view point on TPACK.
